Q.
Hello, im having issues with my dentures, not the dentures in-particularly as you will see. You see I have full dentures – lower set supported by implants – the thing id I find having them cleaned by hygienist is extremely painful – have had them for 10 years so should be used to it by now. Would it be possible to be put to sleep whilst having the cleaning done? I don’t want to have to do it again without it, cheers

Hi
Firstly is your hygienist offering you any pain control ?
Oraquix gel would help to make this more comfortable ,it’s a special numbing gel and would numb the soft tissues enough to help you manage this .
Having a local injection is also possible .
Yes it’s possible to be sedated , but also a mild sedative and some pain control may prevent the need for that .
If your hygienist is not open to helping you with this , tell your dentist or change your hygienist .
