How can I get over my phobia of gagging?

Hi, I have a phobia about impression taking and gagging, I have bitten my dentist and after having taken the impression tray home to practise with I still have to wrench it out after a few seconds as I am heaving and that is at home with no putty in it, please help,

This is quite a common problem to varying degrees.  In a case like yours I would try gas and air called Relative analgesia .
If it’s suitable then it suppresses the gag reflex
Other options are iv sedation and hypnotherapy. You may have to try to build up with a smaller object than an impression tray just a few seconds at a time.
