How to do I help my dental phobic 5 year old attend the dentist?

Q.
hello Doctor

I am looking to take me little girl to the dentist, as one of her teeth is really hurting her, but one problem-she’s terrified of the dentist, screaming and bawling and even kicking out at times. She is 5 years old and the tooth is one of her back teeth, which has been keeping her awake and just making her generally upset, so the tooth really does have to come out. I would really appreciate any help and advice you can offer doctor

thanks for reading my email

You need to find a dentist who likes treating children . This may be a general dentist or a Community Dental service ( ring your Primary Care Trust)
It may be that if your little girl wont let anyone look then possibly antibiotics could be prescribed pending referral for her to be asleep for treatment.
A Dental hospital would also be able to help
Hope you get some help and best of luck
