Q.
Hello, I underwent some dental treatment several years ago which was supposed to be a simple crown but this turned into a huge disaster. As I was receiving the treatment and thought everything was fine I felt my neighboring tooth crack and a large part of it came off and I could feel it inside my mouth. I then had to have more dental work (a few days later) but I was in a lot of pain. I still don’t know exactly what happened and it really frightened me. I’m planning on having another crown replaced in a few weeks and I’m petrified that something similar will happen again. Do you know what caused this to happen? Thanks.

I can’t tell what the problem was without having seen it .
However you need to get all the information you can about the new crown ,
Why is it being done , what the likely problems are that may occur , and what the prognosis is .
I hope this helps
