Can you please explain the WAND treatment for me? I don’t really understand it…

Hi, can you explain WAND treatment to me? I don’t really understand it because the sedation is STILL being injected in isn’t it? It’s the injection that I’m so scared of. I just really see the point in the WAND treatment if it still involves pain from an injection, surely receiving the injection more slowly would hurt more? Thank you for your time!

I don’t have a very high pain threshold, what will help me when I’m receiving injections ready to undergo dental treatment?

Hi i don’t hold a very high pain threshold for example, when having injections when i was younger i would scream the place down, if i scratch myself from falling over for example again i find it very very painful. i’m always petrified when i visit the dentist, i just wondered if you had heard of anything like this before? do you have any patients that are like this and if so how did you help them? my dentist knows about my problem but doesn’t really help me! thanks for your time and advice.

I need to go to the dentist but cannot amass the courage, what’s the best way to proceed?

Hello Doctor,
I have a very painful molar so I know that I need to go to the dentist, but I haven’t worked up the courage yet!
I do look after my teeth, but I haven’t been to the dentist for nearly three years and this is the first time i have had a problem.
My question really is when I call a dentist is it best to tell them that I am dental phobic first? Also, Is it up to me what form of treatment I have?I really like the sound of the wand because I don’t like needles either. thank you for your time.

What can I do about my fear of needles?

I have a fear of needles, will NuCalm and the Wand help me overcome my anxieties?

Hi, I am have put off going to the dentist for ages due to fear of needles. I live close to Bristol. I am willing to travel to as far as London or Birmingham. I wish to find a dentist that offers NU Calm and the Wand. I have a dental phobia. I have never had an injection before in my mouth due to needle phobia. Please help.

If I want Wand treatment or sedation will I have to go private, or can I have it on the NHS?

hi

is it only private practices that offers things like the wand and sedation as I absolutely hate needles to the point where I’d rather not have them, or do you know of any NHS practices that do so? I live in manchester and am looking for a sedation dentist to take out my wisdom teeth, which are killing me! I am willing to travel further in the north west if i was required to do so.
Any information you can give would be brilliant

Could you tell me about the WAND treatment as I’m scared of needles?

hello

could you give me any information on the WAND treatment? I really dislike injections of any kind, but especially hate injections in my mouth, which have embarrassingly made me throw up before! How painless is the WAND really and could you give anymore information on it? I am in need of a filling for a tooth at the back of my mouth which is causing me much pain and I know i’m going to need some kind of anesthesia, if i can have it painlessly that would be brilliant.
