After 32 years of not visiting a dentist because of bad experiences and painful treatment my teeth were realy in a bad way, and i knew something had to be done.

Somebody on http://www.dentalfearcentral.org/ recommended this site which is where i found Celia.

After visiting her website, i e-mailed and received a lovely reply ,she even said i could make a free appointment just to meet the staff if i wanted.I drove past the surgery but at that point dare not go in but i had a gut feeling, something felt right and i made the decision to phone when i got home.

It wasn't easy but i phoned and spoke to a lady called Sarah who realy gave me the reassurance that i was looking for.
This first point of contact was a crucial stage as i'm easily put off and the slightest wrong word from her and i wouldn't be typing this review now.

Obviously that didn't happen,i put down the phone confident i'd made the right decision...i'd made a new patient appointment !!

So the day came and yes i was scared but also determined.
I was welcomed by Sarah who made me a coffee then went through to the surgery to inform the dentist i had arrived.

Celia then came into the waiting area and greeted me with a big smile, she was very pleasant and we sat in waiting area for 5 minutes or so drinking tea and coffee before venturing into the surgery to be greeted by Dental Nurse Laura.

Celia asked if i'd like to go through with the examination and guarenteed it wouldn't hurt.She explained at all times what she going to do and what tools she was going to use.it didn't hurt and i walked out smiling. i even made an appointment to go back for 3 fillings.

Even though i'd met Celia i was still frightened walking into the surgery as i couldn't see how she could guarentee no pain.
Again she explained exactly what she was going to do and taked through the procedure as she was doing it.
I can honestly say i never felt any pain whatsover,i didn't even feel the injection,might be hard for people reading this to believe that but it's true.

The drilling was done for 3 seconds at a time with a breather inbetween.
The whole procedure was all very relaxed, the radio was playing in background and Celia was either describing what she was doing or making friendly chat.

I must just add that at no time did the chatting intefere with her work,she knows exactly what she's doing and made a perfect job of the fillings,all composites on front teeth and you can't even see where she's done it, brilliant.

I know i've concentrated a lot on the attitude of the staff but i think this is very important for nervous people like myself who need that reassurance. you can also tell they are genuinely friendly.
There is an atmosphere when you walk in the door, hard to describe but it's a realy nice feeling(never thought i'd say that about a dentist !)

So to sum up, if you are looking for a dentist who is gentle,friendly,won't lecture you,and will definitely not hurt you i can certainly recommend Celia and the staff at Nothing But The Tooth.

I do need a lot of work doing and have made 3 more appointments so far for extractions and fillings.

These people are changing my life and i hope you will let them change yours too.
