About Dr Mark Wilkins

Soon after graduating from his initial dental training in 1992, Dr Mark Wilkins joined the Smile Style team. By 2000, he had become the partner, and by 2009, he was the sole owner of the practice. Dr Wikins ran both the Smilestyle and Smilestyle Signature Dental Centres.

His training would take him on to complete an Msc in Clinical Periodontology in 2013, allowing him to provide more in-depth treatment for patients with advanced gum diease.

In 2014, Dr Wilkins decided to focus his attention on Smilestyle Signature and he sold the Smilestyle practice. Doing this allowed Dr Wilkins and his team to provide better service and clinical care to his patients.

Dr Wilkins has a strong interest in treating anxious and nervous patients. To improve the experience for his patients, he uses IV sedation. This helps dental phobic patients relax completely so they can get essential dental treatment without anxiety.

For the last two decades, Dr Wikins has been a a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD). This organisation specialices in improving patient experience through better pain management.

He is also a British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists (BACD) member. This has helped advance him deliver better aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.

Smilestyle Signature Dental

Located close to the centre of Nottingham, Smilestyle Signature Dental is a private practice with excellent facilities. The highly-trained team of dentists have additional qualifications in areas such as sedation, endodontics, and periodontal dentistry.

With a wide range of services available including general dentistry prodedures such as root canals, fillings, through to cosmetic treatments like Invisalign teeth straightening, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, veneers, and composite bonding, through to more complex dental implant surgery.

After many years of not attending a dentist as I have a fear after years of bad experinces. I found Smilestyle and Mark. I was able to have sedation and I had my treatment done. It was an amazing feeling for me to have treatment. The whole experince was so good and I was put at my ease by Mark and his lovely staff. I continue to go to Mark. I can't recommended Mark enough after years of fear and upset I am happy that I found Mark and his team.

From the outset I was welcomed into a warm and reassuring environment,and these aspects were constants.Mark Wilkins explained clearly about the conscious sedation technique that would be used as part of me having a tooth extracted and everything was as positive and helpful as he indicated it would be.His assistants were equally competent in their respective roles.Staff-patient relationships were excellent.

I was terrified - but not now. I had a broken front tooth, a broken lower tooth and chipped a wisdom tooth. Making the telephone call was my first step, after about 2 minutes of speaking with Kirsty I did not feel so stupid, as I was in tears - tears of sheer fear. She made me feel so calm, I made an appointment, so far so good, I arrived at the Dental Studio and met Mark. Mark explained EVERYTHING and all that needed to be done, what my options were, and how many appointments I would need. I choose IV. We then went to see/meet "Maserati" what a machine, I knew I had made the right choice. The black cloud has gone and I can smile again. Thank you Mark and your team of Tracey who does the IV and makes you laugh, Kirsty who "listens" so important, and Kerry who is Marks Assistant who is always one step ahead. The understanding nature of you all surpasses everything. I live in Scotland, 4 hours drive, which is nothing really for the peace of mind it has given me. I recommend Mark highly. 10 stars would be right. Thank you all so so much for giving me peace of mind, the first time in 49 years. See you in December.

I have never known a dental experience so relaxing. Mark's calm & soothing nature & the way he explains procedures so clearly kept me calm. I believed what he told me & I could not believe that I sat throughout my procedure unfazed. I can happily recommend him to adult for their own treatment and for that of their children. It's been a while, but I will be back. I am so pleased that Mark was recommended to me. I will not go anywhere else now.
