How long will I have to wait for referral appointment?
Hi there Jennifer, I was wondering if you could tell me on average how long will I have to wait for a referral appointment? I am going to the dentist on Friday 28th sept for the first time in over 20 years I know I will need a lot of work as 90% of my teeth are either broken or rotten down to the gum line, due to a dental phobia. I called your clinic and they advised me I would need a referral, I was wondering how long it would take for me to receive a consultation/treatment after the dentist made my referral?

If you need extractions done at a hospital with General anaesthetic or sedation then its easy to refer .
However there will be several weeks to wait for an assessment , then another wait for the treatment .
I refer to the Eastman Dental Hospital or guys for this .
If you cant afford the private route , then this is worth waiting for , and a private assessment at least gives you a head start to the right facility. I hope this helps.
