I am scared to get my tooth extracted
Hello, Im scared to go to the dentist i have to have a back adult tooth out, its not my wisdom tooth, I havent been for a year now, im starting to get really bad toothache, but im scared when i go there because the dentist said to me i have to get it extracted. Im scared as i hate needles and the after pain, im only 13. Im really scared!
If you are in pain then it may go away , but it will come back
Tell the dentist you are afraid of needles .There are some techniques to help teenagers have the injection , but you may have to ask to be referred to a special centre or a community dental clinic .
The pain afterwards can be managed by taking suitable pain killers if you need them .
