I had dentures since my early twenties
Hi, I have had dentures since I was in my early twenties. (I was so terrified and in so much pain that my dentist said I should have dentures and not suffer anymore!)
I now have to get some new dentures (I have had these for 30 years! won’t go near a dentist!)
I have found a private dentist who is incredibly gentle and I have made it through the first impressions.
Can you tell me if my 2nd impressions are the same experience?
My husband thinks he heard the dentist tell me the 2nd impression is nowhere near as horrible!

If you made it through the first impressions then the second ones should also be achievable ! The holders that are used will have been made to fit you specially on the moulds made the first time . Some dentists will use a different impression material the second time . The idea of this is to make sure that you get the best possible fit . It seems like that having dentures for you was exactly the right thing to do .
