I hate dental tools. Please tell me about Healozone and sedative tablets in a bid to avoid them please?

hi there I absolutely cannot stand the drill/needles and no doubt a few other torture tools the devil dentist has at his disposal! I have always had a bit of a problem with plaque and the way my body reacts to it which apparently is genetic and i can do nothing about, ive been told by my dentist that even regular flossing and brushing may not prevent gum disease. however I have seen the treatment called healozone that prevents decay. I dont mind being at the dentist its just as soon as the tools come out. what tools are involved with the healozone process? and ive heard of a tablet that I can eat and put headphones in to help calm you down? my friend told me this so it could quite easily be not true could you tell me about the healozone thing and what (if it exists) the second thing is? thanks a lot

Healozone is a slightly contentious treatment which may help in treating early dental decay. Some dentists use it but the scientific community in dentistry is not entirely convinced. Plaque control, diet and regular hygiene is far more important.
The tablet might be an oral sedative such as Temazepam – you can get it on prescription from your dentist or doctor and it certainly can help calm your nerves before a dental appointment and so will help someone with a dental phobia like yourself.

I hope this helps.

Good luck
