I have a heart condition but going to the dentist raises my blood pressure, what can I do?
I have a heart condition, i went to the dentist last year and was to be sedated to have 9 teeth out i got so anxious my bloodpressure went up to high. Iwas sent out to hospital with pains in my chest. I really do want to go and have my teeth fixed so i can smile. But i am so scared it will happen again. I really don`t know how to get over this.
Hello
im sorry you find yourself in this predicament
It may be that sedation is not safe enough for you , and that you need to have treatment in a hospital dental department.
You dont say exactly what your heart condition is , so its difficult to judge .
Perhaps try a very minor procedure like having your teeth cleaned with some sedative tablets to get you started .This might help keep your blood pressure down and make you comfortable .
Its difficult to be more specific without more details but I hope this goes some way to help.
