I have an abscess and a phobia of injections
I’m showing most symptoms of have an abscess so I am going to the dentist as soon as possible.
I am 14 years old and have a phobia of injections. I didn’t have straight teeth as a child so I needed braces. I had to have 3 teeth removed. I managed to get 2 out with the needles but after that I had to have “magic air.”
That was uncomfortable for me.
I have looked up treatment for an abscess and I don’t want to have the root canal treatment as I am also scared of drills and all.
My only option would be to remove the tooth. Will I be able to be put to sleep?
Also, would I be able to get braces again? I was always insecure about my smile and I’ve just got them fixed and I don’t want to lose how they are now.
I have been able to wear my retainer due to the ache in my tooth so my teeth have already moved.
I am worried and upset about it
Hello
It would be possible for you to be referred to a hospital or dental hospital to be asleep to have your tooth out .
As to further orthodontic treatment , you would have to ask your dentist what is available locally and whether you would be eligible for further treatment on the NHS .
Hope this helps
