I have very bad gum disease where my teeth are all loose and wobbly,i also have a false tooth which goes in at the roof of my mouth, also i cant eat on one side of my mouth due to a nerve in my tooth and a whole, and i have a chip tooth at front that is just getting worse, and i also have a black tooth at the front of my mouth which is very embarrassing,i really don’t like my mouth being touched due to it being so sensitive, but really need to get this sorted,i have had a few bad incidents at dentist and it has made me very nervous of them, please can u tell me where i can get all this sorted but not feel anything when they are working on me,i will be paying for my treatment and just wondered if its better to go private thank you

Hello it sounds as if this problem is now beginning to affect you enough to make you look for help .
I don’t know where you live , but you may find someone on here , or on wwww.dentalfearcentral.org . recommended by a patient who has had success with a particular dentist .
As far as NHs v Private?
A Private dentist will be able to give you more time to discuss your fears and work out a plan for you .
They can also discuss all the available options and costs, without being constrained by NHS Rules .
However the main thing is whether any dentist NHS or Private has an understanding and empathy with nervous patients . Also that someone has access to a range of services such as IV Sedation , has a dental hygienist who is also sensitive , and enjoys helping people through their fear to a better place .
Hope this helps
Jenny
