I need a tooth removing is there any way to do this without needles?

hello Dr Pinder

I just wanted some advice on the subject of injections. I hate that aspect of dentistry more than any other and have been known to flee the dental surgery when the dentist has tried to inject my gums! I now have incredible pain from one of the teeth at the side of my gums and when i touch it with my tongue there is a really sensitive hole opened up. I obviously need my tooth removed, but this will need an injection, which i am scared of :) oh dear i must sound so silly, but if you could give me any advice on this problem i would be ever so grateful

thank you dr pinder

It might be helpful to ask for some sedative medication for your appointment for treatment
You will need to have the tooth looked at to know what’s possible in the way of treatment , and you should explain your problem with needles.
You could look up the website www.dentalfearcentral.org and check out the needle phobia section for advice .
