I need sedation for all my dental work but now my dentist won’t offer it me?

Good afternoon
Because of my dental phobia i have sedation treatment for all my dental work, i visited my dentist yesterday and my bridge is starting to crumble and needs to come out and be replaced my sedation dentist does not offer this work under sedation and my dentist told me to go see my doctor to get some form of medication to help me through this dental work. What is known as the best relaxer/oral sedation that you can get from your Doctor ? I am terrified but know i need this work done.
Thanks

Hello,
I think that the best that your dr could give you would be 5 or 10 mgm of diazepam ( valium ) .
However there is no reason why the dentist himself cannot prescribe this for you .
If you take it an hour before the appointment it should help to make this more tolerable . You may find that having treatment without Iv sedation is not as bad as you might imagine
