I think I need an implant but am worried about the treatment, can you help?
My tooth crumbled months ago when I had my fixed braces removed. Obviously this was an unprecedented nightmare for me and since then I’ve had to put off treatment because one I couldn’t afford it and two I was scared. My dentist has said about getting an implant. Read up on this and it really scares me. I’m not sure I could do it. Am I needlessly worrying or is there any alternative that is less frightening?
Does you tooth need to come out .?
f it does then the first thing you have to do is get it removed before even contemplating an implant .
Can you afford an implant ?
If you are really considering it then ask about whats involved . Its possible to be sedated to have the implant placed , although its actually not a very traumatic procedure believe it or not
Depending what tooth is lost , often people dont miss a back molar that much and decide not to have any replacement, or explore alternatives to implants .
Implants can be fantastic , but the majority of people cant afford them , or dont want them .
