Should my daughter have fillings on her baby teeth?

Hi – My daughter has been to the dentist and had and xray where I have been advised she has to have 7 fillings on her baby teeth!!!

Firstly she has an absolute phobia on dentist and has a panic attack just to sit in the chair, but 7 fillings on baby teeth and this is private – is this necessary for my little girl to go through 2 hrs of different appointments and have 7 done ? Surely not!! Please advise.

Im sorry your child is in this position .

I am worried about patient confidentiality

Dr.Pinder,
I’m worried about doctor-patient confidentiality. I’ve had dentists that I felt were talking about me, I will sometimes have outbursts if they don’t give me enough time and start doing procedures without me having a say.One dentist wanted to put me in a film about dentristy and only put my outbursts on it. I was outraged of course and stopped going, This was a dentristy school my friend worked at.
So Doctor, Im wondering about how does doctor-patient confidentiality work?

How can I get over my traumatic dental experience as a child?

When I was about 9 years old I nearly died from a visit to the dentist. It was the days when Gas was administered and he took 6 teeth out at once, and a part of one of them became lodged in my throat. I ended up with a nasty taste/fluid in my mouth. Couldn’t eat/drink for ages after. When after 4 days no different, The dentist told my mom to take me home and ignore me I was making it up. My doctor told my mom if she had left me any longer I would have died. That’s why I hate dentists .
