Sarah Fitzharris graduated in 1991 before working at a private dental practice in Aukland, New Zealand. She stayed in this role for three years before travelling to the United Kingdom. Dr Fitzharris worked in various private practices throughout Buckinghamshire and Central London before taking the reins at Woodborough House in 2006.
To improve her knowledge and experience, Dr Fitzharris continues to attend post-graduate training courses and seminars. Over the years, she has volunteered her services by travelling to the Pacific Islands several times to deliver much-needed dental treatment to remote indigenous tribes.
In addition to her work at Woodborough House, Dr Fitzharris has also been on committees at The NZ Dental Study Club in London as well as The London Dental Study Club.
Dr Fitzharris’ special interests lie in cosmetic, preventive, and family dentistry. In addition to her clinical skills as a dentist, Dr Fitzharris has a strong empathy with patients, meaning she understands their emotional needs. This helps her when treating nervous patients.
When treating patients with dental phobia, Dr Fitzharris is not just able to provide sedation dentistry, she also uses the Wand STA system. Using the Wand, Dr Fitzharris gives pain-free anaesthesia to anyone that’s scared or has a dislike of needles.

Woodborough House Dental Practice is a modern dental clinic in Pangbourne, Reading. The clinic offers Slow Dentistry, and the team believes in the importance of taking their time so that patients feel completely comfortable and at ease.
The clinic offers a wide range of treatments, including specialist services from a periodontist, endodontist, and prosthodontist. The highly-skilled team are both friendly and passionate about the standard of care and service offered.
Over the years, the clinic has stacked up several awards, including Best Implant Practice, Best Employer, and runner-up in the category of Best Practice of the Year -South at the 2013 Private Dentistry Awards and Best High Technology Practice at the 2016 awards. The practice was highly commended at the 2017 awards and features in Dentistry’s Top 50 for 2022.
