Mark Durnall undertook his initial dental training at Bristol University, graduating in 2000. Five years later, he became one of the first dentists in the country to offer the invisible aligner system, ClearStrep.
Following his initial studies, Mark continued his professional development by completing further training, including a three-year postgraduate Diploma in Dental Studies in 2006. This course focused on prosthetics, oral surgery, and dental sedation. Next, he attented Warwick University’s General Implant Forum Training (GIFT) implant course in 2008.
To support his career, Mark became a full member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentists (BACD) in 2008. To retain membership, Mark must uphold exceptionally high standards in his treatment. Membership also benefits him in terms of support and development.
In 2009, Mark studied occlusion at the Dawson Clinic in the United States. He has since continued to advance his knowledge in this area with higher-level courses at the European Dawson Clinic. This enables him to treat TMJ disorders and tooth wear.
More recently, in 2018, Mark completed a European Diploma in Implant Dentistry. This course was run by a team of renowned international dentists and assessed over three years by several European Universities.
Mark is also a member of the International Team for Implantology, which determines the standards for implant dentists worldwide. Additionally, MARK is also a member of the European Association of Osseo-integration, which evaluates implant research.
In his implant treatments, Mark uses several systems to deliver complex restorations, including gum and bone grafting, sinus lifts, and Teeth in a Day. Mark is a prolific and experienced implantologist, placing 250 implants each year. His experience is sought after, and he has lectured extensively.
To ensure a painless experience for patients, Mark uses laser dentistry. As a Dental Phobia Certified dentist, Mark takes the time to discuss worries, anxieties, and treatments in depth. He also offers sedation dentistry to reduce anxiety during procedures.
When he’s not working, Mark enjoys playing Golf. He once cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats, raising money for MNDA; however, he hasn’t ridden since.
