I have a bad history with dentists that originates from most of my milk teeth being extracted when I was a child. This carried on to adulthood and I would try to avoid dentists wherever possible. I was able to go to the dentist but would panic attack on the chair. The noise and vibration meant my dentist couldn't do much work. I was in daily pain due to my teeth. I had to have some teeth extracted and my existing dentist couldn't do the work due to my geninue fear. They had referred me to NHS extraction process but warned this could take many months, so I started looking for a dentist who could handle nervous patients and offer sedation. I found Sunil, and came up with a plan. The practice is clearly busy as it took a couple of weeks before we could schedule in part 1. I had 2 sessions with sedation where teeth were extracted and other teeth were repaired. The whole process was a calm experience, I wasn't clock watched. After the extractions I went on to have some root canal work at the same surgery but not under sedation. Sunil had stated that some work is better carried out not under sedation and he thought I could do it. I am not cured, I still have a fear of dentists, but I trust Sunil. While I have mentioned Sunil specifically, I should mention that everyone I came into contact with at the surgery was lovely, everyone from the reception to the nurses, and the root canal specialist that saw me. The first 5 months of this year, I was taking daily pain relief tablets, and I am not now. Private dentistry is expensive, but it was worth every penny.

I am a very nervous patient and hadn’t visited a dentist for a very long time, but eventually I couldn’t hold off any longer. From the very beginning I found Sunil very understanding and helpful as we discussed my past experiences and current dental issues. I had sedation for my first treatment, which involved several extractions and preparation for a crown and temporary bridge at the front. After a treatment without I decided to continue my course of treatment with sedation. It was worrying and stressful for a long time knowing that one day I would have to face up to going to the dentist. Sunil and his team have helped me remove that stress, thank you.

I hadn't been to a dentist for approx. 8 years having lost faith in my previous dentist. A tooth got infected after all those years of neglect and I found myself in a lot of pain...there was no choice but to face my fears and see a dentist! I found Dr Passan's practice through this website and I'm so pleased I did! He immediately put me at ease, talked through everything (I needed the tooth removed) and restored my faith in dental practitioners. When it came to the tooth removal, it was no way near as bad as I'd made out in my mind and again, Dr Passan was extremely calm and understanding to my fears. I chose not to be sedated and the removal was fine. Next step is to have an implant to replace the missing tooth...before I would have been very worked up at the thought and would probably have avoided it, but thanks to Northlight Dental, I'm confident about going ahead with the implant and generally I'm feeling much better about myself (you don't realise day to day the anxiety and worry in the back of your mind that you carry around with you), it was a weight lifted to finally resolve my anxiety that I had been coping with for the past 8 years. I would recommend Dr Passan and his team of lovely staff to anyone, particularly those who, like me, have put off seeing a dentist for so long.

I would highly recommend Northlight Dental for anyone suffering with a fear of the dentist. I had a discoloured and badly infected front tooth that affected my confidence and smile. We decided that an implant would be best for me. I had all of my treatment done under sedation. Each time I visted they were always very patient with me and understanding about how nervous I was. I am extremely happy with the end result. I will definitely return in the future. Sunil and his lovely team helped me achieve something I never thought was possible.

I can't thank Sunil and the whole team enough! What a fabulous practice. From the moment you walk through the door you are made to feel comfortable and your problems are listened to. As a nervous patient I have had nothing but bad experiences in the past but Northlight has changed my perception of dentistry completely. I had the same dentist for nearly 30 years when he relocated to Denbigh. It took ages to settle in with a new dentist until I found Dr. Sunil Passan. He is the ultimate in dentistry, putting me at ease and relaxed. The staff at the practice make you feel very valued and cared for. I cannot rate him highly enough.
