Part of my tooth has fallen off

Hello,
Part of one of my teeth has fallen off after having composite treatment on it, but I dont know if it is the composite or my tooth. Sometimes it gets very sore and sensitive and other times it is fine. i really dont like my current dentist as I dont think they do a very good job but i am not sure I can afford a private dentist.Thinking of going makes me feel sick and faint because I have had so many awful experiences there and feel very rushed and patronised. I would just like to go somewhere where they have time to talk me through treatment and to discuss things, also where I can get alternative treatment instead of needles. What would your advise be? many thanks

I would suggest that you return to the original dentist to have the tooth checked .
After that look around for a different one , perhaps ask your friends . Or go onto www.dentalfearcentral.org , where there are dentists recommended by other fearful patients . They are not all private .
You should certainly get more time and a more relaxed environment in a private practice and not all are expensive for basic care , just means shopping around websites .
Once you have begun to lose confidence in their abilities then its difficult to get it back again
