I cannot bring myself to make a dental appointment. Advise?
hello there Miss Pinder. I am really really not a fan of the dentist and have made this clear on a number of occasions to my dentst. I am worried though that he does not care and jus wants me there to in essence take my money. I have always been afraid of the dentist and I don’t know why? it forces me to take intese care of my teeth at home. I do not feel as though my teeth are in a bad way but I would just simply like to know how to get over this phobia? or where to start as it really knocks my confidence. thank you Dr
Hi
It might be a good idea to think about what you are feeling .
youve told your dentist how you feel , but he doesnt seem to be respondng to your concern .

Perhaps you should look for a more people -friendly dentist who is recommended to you .
Its very good that you take good care at home , and you have no obvious problems , that makes the likelihood of getting dental disease much less.
It might help to take small steps and just look at the check up appointment as just that , a .
.
look and a chat to start with
You may never not feel anxious , but may be able to fell a bit better
