I need two teeth extracting. What does the procedure entail?

hi, I have been told by my dentist that I need two teeth extracting- that is as you can imagine EXACTLY what I dont want to here, forgot why I don’t like these places! ill be having implant and I wanted to know how long the procedure takes- i meant to ask him when I was there but forgot- at the time it wasn’t forefront of my mind ive tried ringing several times but they’re always busy and there’s no answer my impatience got the better of me anyway, could you talk me through the process briefly please and can you be sedated when having this type of treatment?

Thank you for contacting me at Dental phobia- the procedure usually takes approx 1 hour, and sedation (I usually suggest iv as opposed to oral) is often helpful so the dentist can do the job properly and youcan relax. If you choose sedation I suggest a separate person administer it and monitor you do the dentist can focus on what he is doing.
You should have received a written treatment plan, estimate and consent firm with all relevant info. If you are still unsure please ask to d/w your dentist before proceeding further.
I hope this helps.
Please contact me again if I can be of further help
Good luck

Simon
