I want to have my tooth removed

I had a root canal in august.it is still painful & I want it removing.
I have been warned it may break on extraction & will have to wait 8 weeks to see a surgeon to have the remainder removed.
I am so frightened of this .
Is it possible to make an appointment with a surgeon to have the All the tooth extracted in one appointment?
I am very anxious about this. Could you give me any help or advice about what i can do? Many thanks.

It sounds as if the dentist is warning you that the extraction might be a difficult one .
However if the dentist feels that if the tooth breaks up , then they will not be able to finish the extraction themselves , then perhaps they shouldn’t be starting it in the first place .
Ask for a referral to an Oral Surgery department , or perhaps for a more experienced colleague in the practice who is capable of a surgical extraction to do it .
Its possible that this will not happen and it will come out easily , but that depends on the tooth and its roots .
