Should I Be Able to Get Braces as an Adult?

Hi, all my life I’ve had severely crooked teeth. As a child my mother and father never got me braces, this has caused me real confidence issues and affects me in many ways. I’ve asked while an adult if I can help to get braces and always been told no. At the age of 29 the NHS orthodontist said I should have been referred a long time ago. Do you think they will be able to help me?

Yes, adults can get braces.
There are quite a few different methods these days.
But it’s very unlikely that you will get this on the NHS, so you would need to have a private consultation with an orthodontist who does a variety of different systems to find out what the treatment might involve for you.  Hope this helps, Jenny.
