Should I undergo treatment to have my wisdom tooth removed?

Hi, I have a wisdom tooth which I want to get rid of as its causing a lot of pain and has done for a few months now. but underneath it I have empty space and also, my bottom jaw is forward then the top one which means I require 2 surgeries to fix it but it means having braces for nearly 4 years!! I am not sure if I could go through all of that i really really hate the dentist and though i do not expect you to inform me of any other treatment (i assume this is the only one) i do hope you can give some advice on how to get through this whole procedure.

Goodness it sounds like a lot of treatment. I would suggest you discuss your fears with the dentist(s0 who are going to be treating you, as you want to be sure you will be able to complete any treatment you start. They will be able to advise how you might overcome your fears. Good luck with any treatment you decide on
