I have had dental work and braces etc and never had a problem going to the dentist. Then I had a long period of time not going to the dentist due to living abroad and then being unable to get in an NHS clinic. After finally finding one every single treatment I have had has been horrible, painful, stressful and just horrid. The needle hurts, things have gone wrong, the composite filling has come away etc and I am wondering wether I am just more sensitive due to not going for so long or that possible some of the blame lies with my dentist?
I have a filling booked but I know that I will cancel it because I dont think I can sit through one even though I am in pain. I don’t know if I am overreacting?

I am so afraid of a needle there is no word invented yet to describe it. My teeth is in a very bad state, and I am currently on antibiotics (4 days so far) because I have an abscess. All the pain is gone but the abscess wont get a head so I can drain the pus and it is uncomfortable. I cannot visit a dentist now because I literally can’t afford it and I can’t seek attention from the free clinic because of some immigration stuff, how can I help the abscess get head? secondly what is abrasion gas and will it help me because i am absolutely frightened of the whole process. thank you very much.

I am so terrified of dentistry that I even need to have a drink before phoning up for an appointment. I have had many bad experiences over the years.What i fear is the pain.Can i be oversensitive to pain or am I just a coward?I have suffered all my life with anxiety and low self esteem.

Hi im nervous just writing this but i desperately need to see a dentist now.. I have a main front tooth that is just about hanging in there at the top and i have two loose at the bottom. I can barely eat now. The rest of my teeth are rotten and awful. Is there a dentist that will give me sedation on the nhs in Hereford that is trained for someone as scared as me. I have not been to the dentist for about ten years, i had an extraction that really hurt and i passed out when i stood up. I was in agony for days and i have not been back since. My sister had bad teeth and she went as nhs to gaol street clinic in Hereford. But she is not very understanding of my problem so i dont know if they will do a sedation or f they will understand how scared i am..please can you help me. it looks like my gums have come away from my teeth too. They are in an awful mess but im so scared…my partner works but i do not and we do not claim benefits of any kind. we have not long returned from living in France and i have not registered with a dentist as i dont know where to go or who to see that will help me. please can you help me find a dentist in Hereford..
